Parents are reminded that there is practice commitment and a financial commitment to joining the Palace Crystals teams.Girls are invited to begin or continue their cheerleading training within the Pom Crazy squads if they are unsuccessful in their audition.

*Training, Performance & Competition Commitment*

PALACE CRYSTALS:
Thursdays 5:30 - 7:30 pm during term time St. Patrick's Church Hall
Saturdays 9:30 - 11am term schedule (10 - 12 noon holiday schedule)

The Palace Crystals perform at Crystal Palace Football Club during football season (August to April) on average twice a month (usually Saturday).Report time is 1:45 pm and finish after half-time is 4:15 pm.Parents can occasionally obtain free tickets.

Girls are required to perform at CPFC on Saturday matches.When a game falls on a Sunday, girls with Sunday jobs are excused. We also perform at community or high profile events which are not only lots of fun but beneficial in building confidence, strength and stamina, as well as increasing bonding amongst the team.Saturday training is always on, year round.

The Palace Crystals love competitions and often do very well.The British National Championships are at the end of July each year and girls must not miss ANY training in June or July for any reason.The Palace Crystals travelled to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in December 2004 & plan to compete in Orlando soon. We regularly focus on fund raising towards our next competition, workshop with top American coaches or our next trip to the USA!

Special practice sessions previous to competition are on Sundays, 8 - 10pm, at Westcroft Leisure Centre.The advantages to these sessions are a full competition area, a fully matted floor and a wall of mirrors.Plenty of advance notice will be given.

Cheerleaders are asked to avoid absences during June and July, prior to national competition.Girls unable to attend every practice session in those two months will not be able to compete.Parents, please book family holidays at other times.

CHEER MAGIC: 
SENIORS: Wednesdays 6 - 7 pm during term time. Scout's Hall
JUNIORS: Fridays 5:30 - 6:30 pm during term time. Scout's Hall

The Cheer Magic dance squads concentrate mainly on competitions.Advanced skills such as jumps, leaps, turns, splits and kicks are the focus of much of the practice sessions.

Our dance squads are open to members outside of the Carshalton Cheerleaders.Girls will not have set performances other than competitions, but can decide as a group to plan extra performances or events.

Absences will not be acceptable, especially during the months of June and July before National championships.Special practice sessions will be booked for Sunday evenings previous to competitions.See above.

PALACE CRYSTALS:
Performance kit: Shell top and skirt, poms, cheer trainers, socks and scrunchie = �175.00

This is a one off joining fee and can be paid on your own terms.Cheerleaders can pay in instalments while beginning their training.Payment must be made in full before kit will be distributed and cheerleaders take part in Crystals' performances.Supplied kit will be in perfect condition, but may not be brand new.Future items of kit will usually be provided by the team through fundraising or trading!Cheerleaders may be asked to trade shell tops and skirts due to growth or weight change. All items will be maintained by the cheerleaders, but alterations or mending can be provided.When a cheerleader leaves the squad, the items listed above are her own property.

A CPFC tracksuit is supplied and must be returned upon leaving the squad.
